The ARkid viewer and your data.
You are seeing a product in 3D or AR on a shop’s or brand’s website, through an ARkid viewer. This notice explains what the viewer processes and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Deutsche Fassung
Privacy notice for ARkid viewers
Based on ARkid Legal 10, version 2.2, effective 11 September 2026. The ARkid viewer sets no cookies and stores no identifiers on your device.
1. The ARkid viewer
The ARkid viewer shows products in interactive 3D and augmented reality (AR). Retailers and brands embed it in their own websites; it is delivered from ARkid Catalogue at catalogue.arkid.app, operated by ARkid Technologies GmbH.
2. What is processed
When the viewer loads a 3D model, your browser sends a technical request to our servers. We do not set cookies and do not store any identifiers on your device; usage is measured only on our servers, from these requests. A request contains:
- your IP address;
- your browser type and operating system (user agent) and your display resolution;
- the 3D model requested and the page it was requested from;
- the date and time of the request.
From the IP address we derive an approximate country, for statistics only. We use this data to deliver the viewer and to provide the website operator with aggregated usage statistics, for example how often a product was viewed or placed in AR.
3. Who is responsible
For the usage measurement, the operator of the website on which the viewer is embedded is the controller, and ARkid acts as its processor under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). The legal basis is that operator’s; please see its privacy notice. You can address requests about this processing to the website operator or to us; we forward them where appropriate.
To protect our infrastructure, for example against attacks and misuse, we process the request data ourselves, as controller. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the secure operation of our infrastructure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. AR and the camera
If you place a product in your room with AR, your phone or tablet asks for permission to use the camera, and you decide whether to allow it. The camera image is processed on your device by its own AR system (for example Apple Quick Look or Google Scene Viewer); it is not sent to us.
5. Recipients
The data is processed for us by:
- ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, data centre and hosting, Germany (within the EEA);
- Cloudflare, Inc., content delivery and protection against attacks, USA (standard contractual clauses, Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR);
- proinity LLC (KeyCDN), content delivery, Switzerland (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR).
The website operator that embeds the viewer receives the aggregated usage statistics. We do not sell personal data, make no automated decisions about you and do no profiling.
6. How long
Raw request logs are kept for at most 14 months, for billing verification and security, and are then deleted or irreversibly aggregated.
7. Your rights
Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21).

Der Viewer. Der ARkid-Viewer zeigt Produkte interaktiv in 3D und Augmented Reality (AR). Händler und Marken binden ihn in ihre eigenen Websites ein; ausgeliefert wird er von ARkid Catalogue (catalogue.arkid.app), betrieben von der ARkid Technologies GmbH.
Was verarbeitet wird. Lädt der Viewer ein 3D-Modell, sendet Ihr Browser eine technische Anfrage an unsere Server. Wir setzen keine Cookies und speichern keine Kennungen auf Ihrem Gerät; die Nutzung wird ausschließlich auf unseren Servern anhand dieser Anfragen gemessen. Die Anfrage enthält Ihre IP-Adresse, Browsertyp und Betriebssystem (User-Agent), die Bildschirmauflösung, das angefragte 3D-Modell und die Seite, von der es angefragt wurde, sowie Datum und Uhrzeit. Aus der IP-Adresse leiten wir für statistische Zwecke ein ungefähres Land ab. Wir verwenden diese Daten, um den Viewer bereitzustellen und dem Websitebetreiber zusammengefasste Nutzungsstatistiken zu liefern.
Verantwortlichkeit. Für die Nutzungsmessung ist der Betreiber der Website, in die der Viewer eingebunden ist, Verantwortlicher; ARkid ist sein Auftragsverarbeiter auf Grundlage eines Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrags (Art. 28 DSGVO). Anfragen dazu können Sie an den Websitebetreiber oder an uns richten; wir leiten sie bei Bedarf weiter. Zum Schutz unserer Infrastruktur, etwa vor Angriffen und Missbrauch, verarbeiten wir die Anfragedaten als Verantwortlicher auf Grundlage unseres berechtigten Interesses am sicheren Betrieb (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO).
AR und Kamera. Platzieren Sie ein Produkt per AR in Ihrem Raum, fragt Ihr Gerät nach der Erlaubnis, die Kamera zu nutzen; Sie entscheiden darüber. Das Kamerabild wird auf Ihrem Gerät von dessen eigenem AR-System verarbeitet und nicht an uns übertragen.
Empfänger. ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich (Rechenzentrum und Hosting, Deutschland, innerhalb des EWR); Cloudflare, Inc. (Auslieferung und Schutz vor Angriffen, USA, Standardvertragsklauseln nach Art. 46 Abs. 2 lit. c DSGVO); proinity LLC (KeyCDN, Auslieferung, Schweiz, Angemessenheitsbeschluss nach Art. 45 DSGVO). Der Websitebetreiber erhält die zusammengefassten Nutzungsstatistiken. Wir verkaufen keine personenbezogenen Daten; es gibt keine automatisierten Entscheidungen und kein Profiling.
Speicherdauer. Rohdaten der Anfragen werden höchstens 14 Monate zur Abrechnungsprüfung und aus Sicherheitsgründen aufbewahrt und danach gelöscht oder unumkehrbar zusammengefasst.
Ihre Rechte. Unter den gesetzlichen Voraussetzungen haben Sie das Recht auf Auskunft (Art. 15 DSGVO), Berichtigung (Art. 16), Löschung (Art. 17), Einschränkung der Verarbeitung (Art. 18), Datenübertragbarkeit (Art. 20) und Widerspruch gegen Verarbeitungen auf Grundlage berechtigter Interessen (Art. 21). Beschwerden können Sie bei der österreichischen Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Wien, oder bei der Behörde Ihres Wohn- oder Arbeitsorts einreichen.
